Have A Creative Weekend: 12.07.12

Happy Friday, friends! What are your plans for this December weekend?

I'm so excited about this weekend, for the winter festivities truly begin! Tonight is Raleigh's monthly First Friday, and my friends and I always have fun admiring local artists' work and enjoying restaurants downtown. And, tomorrow night I'm hosting an ornament decorating party and I cannot wait to have a crafty night in with just the girls! Everyone is bringing their own supplies, and I can't wait to see what people come up with!

I've had a slight problem preparing for tomorrow night, though. With all the gorgeous ornament tutorials out there this year, I've had a hard time picking what to make! Here are a few diys I've gathered.

Have a sparkly party animal hanging on your branches!
Jazz up a white, porcelain ball in this easy diy.
These felt ornaments would be right at home on a classic tree.
All you need for these geometric ornaments is some sturdy card stock and a printer!
Just stick some clay in the oven and let your creative juices flow with these painted beauties.
Don't leave your tree out of the ombre fad!
These gorgeous painted ornaments couldn't be easier.
These fringed ornaments take a little extra time, but they're worth it!
Can't fit all your fun new ornaments on your tree? Make a garland!

Which ones are your favorite? What other diy ornaments have you found that you're just itching to make?

  1. I know your craft night already passed; but I love the fringed stars! Which ones were a success? Would love to see what y'all ended up making :)

    1. I love the fringed stars too! However, I went with a variation on the clay ornaments. I figured I'd start with something easy my first year of ornament making.

A lot of the other gals painted some porcelain balls, or filled clear glass ornaments with glittery snow. They were all so beautiful!

I'm hoping to get some pictures up soon. Thanks for asking!
